Career Opportunity Description:
This role will report to eHealth Technologies Manager of Integrations & HIE Solutions. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining all new and existing integrations with our health care clients. Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinates analysis calls with Sales team and customers technical leadership (pre-sales discussions which steer the direction of the work to be completed).
  2. Maintains business requirements documentation and develops interface specifications as needed.
  3. Managing the entire cycle of interface application development, including analysis, design, specification, implementation, go-live, and support.
  4. Write and maintain technical procedures and documentation for the application interfaces developed.
  5. Work in an agile, object-oriented, team environment with version control, change management and continuous improvement protocols.
  6. Coordinates or assists in all testing/validation of the interfaces.
  7. Assists with troubleshooting during integrated testing and validation.
  8. Monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining existing integration solutions.
  9. Provides excellent customer service and support to interface product customers.
  10. Responsible for managing all assigned ongoing and proactive integration services.
  11. Participating in go-live activities, calls, and support for projects assigned.
  12. Collaborating with external/internal integration engineers.
  13. Implementing quality assurance testing standards and processes.
  14. Ensure effective handoff for ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting.
  15. Create and maintain accurate documentation for each project.
  16. The Integration Engineer will maintain an interface library with adequate detail and specification, including Visio drawings of all inbound/outbound interfaces, as well as testing scripts
  17. Perform other technical duties as required, including once monthly (3rd Sunday each month from 9am-1pm) maintenance window

 Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
  2. Solid knowledge of networking and different connectivity solutions (e.g., VPN, SFTP, TCP-IP, etc.).
  3. Experience with developing HL7 interfaces using EPIC (or other EHR Interoperability Technology).
  4. HL7 knowledge (e.g., ORM, ORU, ADT, SIU, DFT, etc.) (preferred).
  5. Experience working with different data formats (e.g., HL7, XML, CSV, etc.) (preferred).
  6. Experience working with integration engines such as Mirth (Preferred).
  7. Working with API connectivity (preferred).
  8. Comfortable with interfacing, scripting, and debugging.
  9. Experience in JAVA, and SQL (preferred). 
  10. Knowledge of healthcare data & workflow (preferred).
  11. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  12. A natural collaborator and problem solver.
  13. Ability to exercise effective decision-making in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization.

Key Relationships:
  1. Directly supervised by the Manager of Integrations & HIE Solutions.
  2. Interacts regularly with eHealth Technologies staff, customers, vendors, and community businesses.

Essential Functions:
  1. Physical Requirements: Extended periods of time typing, data entry, sitting, read, writing. Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  2. Mental Requirements include General, Visual, and Numerical Intelligence. Analytical skills.
  3. This role is expected to work onsite from one of our India office locations, however when teleworking remotely, it is a requirement of the position that employees have the following minimum requirements available:
i.     A private workspace the meets the requirements of the Teleworking Security (HITRUST-21) Policy
ii.     An internet network that meets the requirements of Teleworking Security (HITRUST-21) Policy, including:
1.  A router that must achieve minimum speeds of 100MBPS for download and 10MBPS for upload, or any other higher speed required for the
work to be produced contingent upon your role.
2. Availability of at least two (2) Ethernet connections in the router to the internet source is required (for your PC and phone).
3. Workstation should be plugged directly into the router as a hardwire connection to high-speed internet is critical to maintaining approved speeds for optimal functioning of various operational hardware, software and tools, as required for work performance; an appropriate Wi-Fi connection may satisfy this connection to high-speed internet.
4.Router should be updated regularly with latest firmware, or ultimately replaced if router speeds are not within the minimum specifications above.
 
This position requires working during the night shift hours.
