Career Opportunity Description: The Human Resources Manager position reports directly to the VP of Human Resources. The Human Resources Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our India locations, including assisting the VP of Human Resources and Human Resources Director to drive programs for employee engagement and culture; learning and development; performance management; benefits and total rewards, diversity, equity and inclusion, health and safety, and conflict resolution. The right candidate for this position should have a passion for leading and developing a department within our company with employee culture, performance, and compliance as its focus. Critical thinking and strategic insight will be required. Some travel is required in this role to our local offices throughout India, and potentially to our global office locations as you will collaborate and consult with extended HR team, and business leaders throughout the organization. The individual will be passionate about working in a global environment and embody a servant leadership approach, prioritizing the growth and well-being of direct and indirect reports.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

1.      Act as a backup to the Director of HR to support all recruiting activities across the organization, and craft strategies to generate candidate flow and pipeline to meet overall recruiting goals.

2.      Process accurately and timely monthly payroll and subsequent required company reporting with in accordance with governing laws and regulations.

3.      Identifies opportunities to maximize the automation capability of HR software.

4.      Supports Global People Metrics Analyst with appropriate reporting to ensure proper reporting of Human Resources metrics.

5.      Ensures a smooth transition from recruitment to the greater HR team to support new hire or onboarding including paperwork, benefit review, and all other onboarding needs.

6.      Oversee the implementation of specific assigned HR programs, identifying opportunities for improvement.

7.      Partner with management to develop and communicate HR policies, procedures, programs, and laws.

8.      Determine and recommend employee relations practices necessary to establish positive relationships and a high level of employee morale and satisfaction.

9.      Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues, including disciplinary meetings, investigations, and actions, and escalating to the Director and/or VP of HR as appropriate

10.  Manage the performance appraisal program to drive high performance

11.  Oversees country specific benefits programs, continually working to improve benefits and manage costs.

12.  Oversees all administrative programs (i.e. cab facilities) and acts as the liaison and on-site representative for the Office Manager to ensure

13.  Serve as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and government agencies.

14.  Protect the interests of employees and the company in accordance with policies and governmental laws and regulations to minimize risk.

15.  Conduct continuing study of all HR policies, programs, and practices to keep management informed of new developments.

16.  Maintain HRIS software for employee tracking.

17.  Maintain all personnel files.

18.  Oversee employee offboarding processes.

19.  Lead employee event planning and morale programs, including management of Engagement software, and action plans.

20.  Will be department coverage in absence of VP & Director of HR.

21.  Various other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business administration, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in an HR leadership role
  • Payroll processing experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including email, face-to face and presentation.
  • Proficiency in the knowledge and application of employment laws and regulations.
  • SHRM or HRCI Certification preferred

Key Relationships:

  1. Directly supervised by the Vice President of Human Resources.
  2. Supervises temporary or permanent staff to the HR department as assigned.
  3. Interacts regularly with eHealth Technologies staff, company vendors, and community businesses.

Essential Functions:

  1. This role requires an in-office presence Monday – Friday during overnight hours, and work from home is only permitted for occasional, exceptional circumstances. 
  2. Physical Requirements: Extended periods of time typing, data entry, sitting, ready, writing. Lifting up to 20 lbs.
  3. Mental Requirements include General, Visual, and Numerical Intelligence. Analytical skills.
  4. Work requires willingness to occasionally work a flexible schedule.
  5. When working outside of the office (i.e. for travel or occasional work from home), it is a requirement of the position that employees have the following minimum requirements available:

               i.     A private workspace the meets the requirements of the Teleworking Security (HITRUST-21) Policy

              ii.     An internet network that meets the requirements of Teleworking Security (HITRUST-21) Policy, including:

  1. A router that must achieve minimum speeds of 100MBPS for download and 10MBPS for upload, or any other higher speed required for the work to be produced contingent upon your role.
  2. Availability of at least two (2) Ethernet connections in the router to the internet source is required (for your PC and phone).
  3.  Workstation should be plugged directly into the router as a hardwire connection to high-speed internet is critical to maintaining approved speeds for optimal functioning of various operational hardware, software and tools, as required for work performance; an appropriate Wi-Fi connection may satisfy this connection to high-speed internet.
  4. Router should be updated regularly with latest firmware, or ultimately replaced if router speeds are not within the minimum specifications above.
